About Us
Who we are - and how we work
Pantanal Spirit Tours was born out of the belief that the western Pantanal – especially the region around the town of Cáceres – deserves far more attention. This part of Brazil is one of South America’s most unspoiled and biodiverse regions, yet it remains largely untouched by international tourism.
My name is Sandro – I’m originally from Germany and now live with my Brazilian family on the edge of the Pantanal. I personally plan each trip and guide most of the tours myself. Along the way, I’m supported by a wonderful network of local partners who share their home region with enthusiasm and deep knowledge.
This includes not only local nature guides like cowboys, fishermen, or indigenous hosts, but also drivers, guesthouse owners and many other dedicated people from the region.
These locals know their territory better than anyone – they are the backbone of our tours and help make each experience truly unique. In the future, I hope to introduce more of them here on the blog – and to gradually grow our core team as well.
`Mission
Our mission is to introduce travelers to the untouched beauty of the western Pantanal. Through sustainable expeditions, we create intense nature experiences combined with authentic encounters with the region’s culture and way of life – far from the beaten tourist paths.
Vision
Our vision is to showcase the largely undiscovered West Pantanal as an extraordinary natural and cultural experience – authentic, respectful, and in close collaboration with local communities. Through sustainable tourism, we aim to strengthen the region's economy, preserve its cultural identity, and protect its breathtaking nature to ensure it remains a living experience for future generations.
Values
Authenticity – We create genuine experiences: deep, honest, and in harmony with the region.
Sustainability – Protecting nature and preserving local culture are at the heart of everything we do.
Passion – Our love for the Pantanal shines through in every journey we offer.
Responsibility – We work closely with local partners, foster fair collaboration, and actively contribute to strengthening the regional economy and the livelihoods of the people of the Pantanal.
