The Pantanal Is My Home – Welcome to My World

My name is Roseli, but most people simply call me Rosi. I am 34 years old and was born in Cáceres, a beautiful town in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso, known as one of the gateways to the Pantanal.

I am married to my German husband, and together we have a son. In November, our family will grow even bigger as we are expecting our second child.

Currently we live in England, after spending about five years in Germany. Living and traveling in different countries has allowed me to speak Portuguese, my native language, as well as English and German.

It brings me great joy to introduce visitors to my homeland and share the incredible beauty of the Pantanal.

How I Met Sandro

I first met Sandro in my hometown of Cáceres, where we worked together for about a year on the Gonçalinho Project. A few years later, we met again in Germany.

Back in 2014, Sandro often spoke enthusiastically about his dream of one day moving to Brazil and helping travelers discover the extraordinary nature of the Pantanal. His passion for this unique region inspired me from the very beginning.

This year, we started working together again, and I am delighted to be part of the “Pantanal Spirit Tours”. It is a privilege to help Sandro continue building his dream while sharing my hometown of Cáceres and the untouched regions of the Pantanal with visitors from around the world.

Together, our goal is not only to show the famous highlights but also to introduce guests to the authentic Pantanal—the places, people, and experiences that most visitors never have the chance to discover.

My Connection to the Pantanal

My love for the Pantanal began long before I realized how special this place is to people from around the world.

I was born in Cáceres and grew up just 100 metres from the Paraguay River. The river and the Pantanal were part of my everyday life and shaped my childhood.

Whenever I had free time, I was outdoors with my siblings and friends. We spent our days fishing, swimming in the Paraguay River, and exploring nature. These simple moments remain some of my happiest childhood memories.

The Paraguay River still holds a very special place in my heart. Every time I return to Brazil to visit my family, we spend time on the river together—boating, fishing, swimming, and simply enjoying life on its banks.

Today, my son, nieces, and nephew are creating the same memories that made my own childhood so special. Watching them experience this incredible landscape fills me with happiness.

Why I Love Sharing My Home

For many people, the Pantanal is an extraordinary travel destination. For me, it is much more than that—it is my home, my story, and a part of who I am.

That is why I am passionate about accompanying our guests and showing them the Pantanal through the eyes of someone who has known it since childhood: authentic, untouched, and full of unforgettable wildlife experiences.

I hope every visitor leaves not only with incredible photographs and wildlife sightings, but also with a true appreciation for the warmth, tranquillity, and natural beauty that make the Pantanal such a remarkable place.
